It's been a while since I added support for constellation boundaries. I've now added support for drawing constellations and asterisms, along with their names.

Since there are no 'official' definitions of constellation patterns, I've followed the constellations defined by the International Astronomical Union.

I've initially placed names at the average position of the component stars. I may add support for a manual position if this results in too many overlapping labels.

Dave, I looked for a way to email, but didn't see one. Figure 2. Constellations, boundaries and names is done using a projection method that I haven't seen before. The projection doesn't appear "flat," but sort of "wraps" around the observer giving an impression of depth. What is the name of this type of projection? Do you have a working planetarium that uses this projection? Thanks in advance for your kind reply.

Hi Claude! Actually it's just a spherical projection but with an extreme wide-angle (field-of-view), giving it a rather distorted look. The app allows the user to adjust the field-of-view, so is quite accomodating of the size of the screen and the proximity of the user. I've not tried it on a spherical "planetarium" screen, but have used a large-format display when standing close enough not to see the edges :)
